Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has released two new solo singles, “Matter of Time” and “Say Hi,” after premiering them last night at a virtual charity event, Venture Into Cures.

The event aimed to raise awareness and funds for the EB Research Partnership’s mission to find a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare genetic skin condition. Say Hi was written for Eli Meyer, a six-year-old afflicted with the condition, while Matter Of Time was introduced by legendary talk show host David Letterman.

‘Matter of Time’ comes with a music video. The animated clip was directed by Matt Finlin and Jeff Lermire and works to educate viewers on EB. ‘Say Hi’ comes with a video of Eddie Vedder’s live performance.

Several celebrities including David Letterman, Adam Levine, Jon Batiste, Billie Eilish, Chris Hemsworth, and Laura Dern appeared at Venture Into Cures on Wednesday.

You got the cure, I got the fight
It’s just a matter of time
Matter of time, just a matter of time

Back in September, Vedder released another new solo single, “Cartography,” plus a remix by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner. Vedder originally recorded the instrumental track for the soundtrack to Eric Becker’s 2018 documentary, Return to Mount Kennedy.
