The ‘True Love’ duet between Kanye West – now officially known as Ye – and XXXTentacion is getting a proper release later this week. The lead single from West’s current ‘Donda 2’ album was previously only available on the rapper and producer’s Stem Player, which he created in February to host his 11th studio album. The tune will now be released in its entirety on Friday, May 27 via Columbia Records, to coincide with the release of the new documentary Look at Me: XXXTentacion, which will be available on Hulu in the United States on May 26. A UK release date has not yet been set.
‘True Love,’ which will be available on all streaming platforms, will also be on XXXTentacion’s upcoming album, ‘Look at Me: The Album,’ which has yet to be announced. The single’s cover art was created by West and incorporates handwritten messages from XXXTentacion that were discovered in a journal by the late rapper’s mother. “Am I meant to appear to be heartless?” “Love love love,” and “A sensation you just can’t explain” are among the notes.
