Ciney Gurung is one of the most popular female singers of Nepal.She was born in kurseong, Darjeeling. She was a teacher of English literature in Galaxy Public School before she started her singing career.
In 2000, she came to Kathmandu from Darjeeling in order to take her musical career to a new level and started singing at the Shangri –La Hotel with “The Prism Band”.
After few years, she released her first debut album “Yo Maan” in 2005. This song heightened her profile in the Nepali music industry. She also won the winner of Image Awards for this song in 2010. After that, she sang many popular hit songs. She even featured with Sabin Rai “maya timilai choder”.
Now, she has come up with a new song “Timi nai Timi Chau”.She recently shared it on her Facebook page. “The official music video may take some time” She said. The lyric of the song is by Gracy Moktan and music by Bobby Rai.
