The musical event entitled Musical Journey of Ranjit Gajmer with Asha Bhosle was organized with a blast on the 28th of December, 2019 at Soaltee Crown Plaza. The event was organized by Sadhana Kala Kendra as a tribute event to the legendary  Music Director and Musician Ranjit Gazmer.  The show featured a total of 32 musicians and 37 singers performing on 30 ever green songs of respected Ranjit Gajmer, aka “Kancha”, all in one stage along with India’s musical diva Asha Bhosle. The Darjeeling based music director- Gajmer is know for his works in songs of many movies like Kusume Rumal, Chino, Darpan Chaya, Lahure, Samjhana, Saino, etc. Asha Bhosle who even holds the Guinness World Record as the most recorded artist in music history has sung many Nepali songs like Maitighar, Aage Aage Topai Ko Gola, Mohani Lagla, Gairi Khet. It was Gajmer who arranged for Asha Bhosle to sing her first Nepali film song back in 1982.

Noteables such as Deep Shrestha, Prem Dhoj Pradhan, Ram Krishna Dahkal, etc. were also seen performing in the event. Asha even performed a duet with Ram Krishna Dhakal on the all time favorite Mohani Lagla Hai song from the 1991 movie Chino near to the end of the show. The  bumper 3 and a half hours show finally ended with Asha singing Dum Maro Dum with her grand daughter.
